Today we are sharing a super cute balloon birthday card made for us by our Associate Designer Kittie Caracciolo. Kittie uses our die cuts to create the most amazing projects and with this being our Birthday Month, she’s made us a special card!
Kittie is sharing all the details of how she made this card here and we wanted to point out a couple of things we thought were pure genius.
First, check out how Kittie matched her layers up with the same decorative edge. This adds such a finished look – she says she cuts her edges first, like the clouds here, and then pops that section into the same die she uses for her background panel and recuts. This way your eye “sees” just the billowy clouds and doesn’t get stuck at a plain edge.
Kittie also shares another BRILLIANT idea of how she makes her own pearl embellishments. She just makes some drops with her Nuvo Crystal liquid on a craft sheet and then she has exactly what colors and sizes and number of perfect pearls she needs. She’s got all the details in her blog post.
