A New Take on a Butterfly Greeting Card Design!

Allison here with you today sharing a new butterfly greeting card design that I think you are going to love!

Crafting has been a silver lining during this crazy time, dontcha think? During this spell,  I have to admit I may have developed a slight addiction to tiny flower die cuts! In the card I’m making today, I used the mini leaves to create a rainbow trail following this 3 dimensional butterfly coloured with the new Color Fuse Inks.

Here’s a little closer look at that fabulous “rainbow” of tiny flowers:

This card was actually really easy to make. Here are the steps if you would like to create one of your own:

How I made this card using this butterfly greeting card design:
  1. I started by using the new Color Fuse Inks and blended the shades I chose for my rainbow on white card stock using a blending brush.
  2. These mini dies are fabulous as they cut multiples at the same time. I used the Tiny Leaves die cut to cut my leaves out of the colour fuse Ink sheets I blended.
  3. I glued my leaves down to a panel cut from the largest die in the Nested Deckle Rectangles Die Set. I stamped the sentiment “with love” from the Kitty Says Phrases #1 Clear Stamp Set in black Versamark ink and heat embossed in clear.
  4. Here’s the twist on the butterfly greeting card design idea. For the Two Part Butterfly #3 Die I blended the Color Fuse Ink Pads for the bottom die cut – I was very gentle and since these inks blend so beautifully I was able to keep the colors really soft. The top was cut from white card stock and glued on top. Foam tape was added under the leaves for dimension.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out this butterfly greeting card design – I am thinking it will work with ANY two part die cut!
