Coffee and Crafts: The Perfect Pair!

Happy Monday crafty friends! If you or someone you know needs coffee to get going in the morning, we just know you’re going to love todays card. This coffee set is so much fun- full of coffee cups, coffee to go, snacks and sentiments! You’ll want to pick up this set for your next java inspired project. We love it a latte!

Todays card also uses our slimline inside and outside cuts, for a fun and easy project with lots of detail!

Jamie started this project, unsure of what she was going to make. How many of you love a stamp set so much, but haven’t quite figured out how you’re going to use it yet? We always have lots of half completed projects, and come back around to them once inspiration hits. She stamped most of the images from the set on watercolor paper with Onyx Black VersaFine Ink and colored them with Inktense Pencils then die cut them with the matching Coffee Die set. She set them aside, until inspiration hit! How cute are these!

She decided to use the new Slimline Solid Deckle Die on purple card-stock. The inside piece is secured inside the outside die with removable tape, then run through the  Crossover II machine. The cool thing about these inside cuts, is that the insides can be saved for future project embellishments.

She then got inspired by our amazing Coffee Bean Background, and stamped it onto a  tan piece of card-stock using Caramel Color Fuse Ink. Such a fun background; you can almost smell the coffee beans! She then glued this to the purple slimline panel, and popped it up using foam squares on a white cardstock panel. To add extra dimension, she glued all this to a purple (3 1/2″ x 8 1/2″) card….stunning!
This is where she pulled out all those original colored pieces from the coffee set, and glued them to the card in sporadic arrangements for a fun effect. This is card making gold my friends! At this point, if you wanted to add a little more bling, you could add Unicorn glitter to the pieces.

Now, there are many sentiments in our shop that would go perfect with this caffeinated card, and Jamie went with the popular “I Just NEED Coffee”, stamped on white cardstock with Caramel Color Fuse Ink. She layered it on yellow cardstock and popped it up on the card. We love this so much. As always, adding a little extra flare goes a long way, so she finished it off with rhinestones for the final wow factor!
