These cute critter slimline cards are great for any card sending occasion!

We love cute critters and we love slimline cards so can you imagine how we feel about this idea from Julie for cute critter slimline cards? Yep – over the moon! And the fact that she’s using all THREE of our super stinkin’ cute, really popular and oh-so-flexible Woodlands Animals sets makes this that much more special. Let’s take a look at how she made this so we can take a shot ourselves!

Julie started by cutting a piece of white card stock with the largest die from our Slimline Nested Stitch set. She then two more pieces of white card stock with the next size down die and cut one of those with our Slimline Insert 4 Corners Circle die to make her peekaboo panel.

Julie laid her peekaboo panel over the background panel and lightly marked where the middle and left side windows were with a soft pencil. She then stamped her trees in those two openings, also stamping the evergreen tree onto white card stock with Copic-friendly ink. She removed the window panel, erased her pencil marks and colored in those two trees, too. She fussy cut her evergreen tree and adhered her window panel over her background piece, adding the tree with some foam tape over the left most window. As a last step to the card construction, Julie layered this die cut assembly over a piece of warm brown card stock cut to offer a whisper of a mat, adhered that to the larger die cut panel and then popped everything onto a white slimline card base.

Next, Julie stamped her collection of critter cuties onto white card stock with the same Copic-friendly ink, colored them all in with her expert eye and then cut them out with out coordinating dies. Here are the Copic markers she used for her critters and her trees:

Now Julie had what we are sure was a blast arranging her committee of cuties on her card and when she had everyone set just so, she adhered all her elements with varying thicknesses of dimensional adhesive to add that look of depth and dimension.
