Fittingly, our last Christmas in July post is about quick and easy DIY Christmas thank you cards!

What better way to show your gratitude for gifts, events and gestures over the holidays than to make and send some DIY Christmas thank you cards?  These cards are so beautiful and are clean and simple and super fast to make. (And honestly? We think it’s so pretty it could be your Christmas card if you like!) These are easy cards to make in multiples or batches and changing up the greeting gives you a striking card to send for any winter occasion.

Kittie is known for her complex, lush, many layered cards and it’s so exciting to see her take her vision and share something that is super fast and easy to make! Yet, you can still see Kittie in this card with her signature scene building and a beautiful red bird.

You can get Kittie’s own take on these cards over here on her blog but this time, the making of them is so straightforward we can share the how-tos here.

First, create your card base from white card stock. Then cut a background layer from red card stock and use our Nested Rectangle Scallop With Holes die to cut a white panel. Stamp your trees and sentiment in Versafine Shady Lane on the panel, leaving plenty of white space to add to that feeling of snowy serenity. PRO TIP: Stagger the trees in size and vertical placement on your card to create the look of depth. Adhere the stamped panel to the red layer with some foam tape and then adhere both to the card front with some tape.

Using our Small Birds die, cut a scrap of red card stock, add his details with a fine point black marker and pop him onto the card with a small piece of dimensional adhesive.
