Cute Halloween card wishes we share with you!

Halloween cards are adorable but not a lot of people send them so we thought we would share this STINKIN’ adorable project as Halloween card wishes from our home to yours. Now, we know not everyone celebrates Halloween but this card was just too cute not to show off!

Let’s take a look at how Annie put this card together.

First, Annie cut scraps of white, grey, orange, and black card stock with the Build An Owl and Owl Halloween Add Ons Die Sets. Remember, we also have an Owl Christmas Add Ons set so you can dress up your little feathered friends for the next big holiday! She dressed up one of her owls in his mummy costume, adhering the pieces with liquid glue.

Now to make her non-scary but fun-spooky background, Annie stamped our Spider Frame Background Stamp onto white card stock using Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink and trimmed to the image lines with a paper trimmer. She then blended Custard, Apricot, Fuchsia, and Magenta Color Fuse Ink over the entire panel from bottom to top with a blending brush.  When she was happy with her background, she then added just a few touches of Black Soot Distress Ink to the top to deepen the color and add some dramatic shadows.

Next Annie created her sentiment. She stamped our Halloween Greetings onto a piece of black card stock with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white powder. She then used a clever PRO TIP to get a custom sized deckle edge using a larger die. First, she positioned one of our Nested Deckle Rectangle Dies over the heat embossed words lining up the bottom right corner of the die at the bottom right area of the image and run it through your die cutting machine. Now take the die and reposition it lining up the top left of the die and the image and run it through again. Voila!

Now Annie added her background panel to her card base with tape and popped up her little costumed owl and greeting with some foam squares and her card was ready to go!
