Use this quick and easy design for a handmade floral birthday card over and over for so many gorgeous cards!

Today we are showing off a project from Julie who brings a hint of spring fever and lots of celebration with this handmade floral birthday card. This design is so simple yet so so stunning and you can create endless cards using the basic layout with lots of different papers, colors, flowers and even change up the greeting for more occasions.

Julie started by layering one of the designs from our Modern Floral Paper Pad onto a white card base. She then stamped the lovely floral image from our Friends Forever set, used the coordinating stencils to sponge shades from Color Fuse Set #5 through them to add the shading on the roses and then with Color Fuse Set #10 for the leaves. Julie added more of her artistic magic using some Prismacolor pencils – true artists sometimes can’t stop at just one medium! She then cut this out with our coordinating die.

She then used a stitched circle die to cut two circles – one from white and one from a scrap of sage green. She used the long edge of one of her stitched rectangle dies to add a matching detail element to the flat side of her partial sage green circle and adhered the two circles pieces together for a fun bi-color element.

Julie stamped her greeting on this circle, added her floral element with some foam adhesive and then popped the whole thing onto her card base. SO PRETTY! As a final touch, Julie added some adhesive pearls to her card in a curve to echo the circle. These little details just add so much!
