You will want to save this to your homemade fall card ideas file!

We’ve been sharing lots of homemade fall card ideas this month and we’ve had quite a few slimline cards from our awesome design team. This one REALLY celebrates Fall with it’s double “Hurray” greeting and we can’t wait to see how Lisa made it! There are so many fun things happening on this card and the little woodland pals really up the adorable factor!

Lisa started by cutting a panel using our Slimline Nested Stitch dies and cut a scrap (shown in black) with our Stitched Hills die. She then taped our Slimline Birch Tree Stencil over her slimline panel to keep things from shifting around. Note that the Birch Tree Stencil will stay in place with all the inking Lisa used to create her sunset ombre background.

Lisa placed her hills “mask” across the bottom part of her panel and blended below the hills with shades of brown Color Fuse Ink from Set #3.

Next, Lisa remover I removed the hills die cut placed the sunburst stencil over the birch tree stencil and adhered it to the mat. She then blended yellow Color Fuse Ink over both stencils to create the rays.

She removed the sunburst stencil and blended lighter yellow over the open spaces of the sun and rays, gradually blending shades of orange and red toward the top of the panel to get that beautiful glow.

Lisa removed the first part of our Birch Tree Stencil to reveal her stunning background and then placed the second stencil from our Birch Tree set – the part that adds the beautiful details – over her panel.

Lisa offers this great PRO TIP for lining up the stencils: she picked a spot on the stencil and used that as a starting point – see the arrows on the photo below.  Once you line these up, the rest falls into place.

Here’s what this looks like after the details are added – so cool, right?

Next, Lisa stamped her gnomes and critters from our Garden Gnomes, Woodland Animals #1 and Woodland Animals #3 sets, cut them out with our coordinating dies and colored them up with her Copics.

To make some fallen leaves, Lisa, grabbed a scrap of white card stock and blended some of the same yellows and oranges over it.

She then used our Tiny Leaves die to cut this scrap made a little pile.

Lisa arranged her little squad of cuties at the base of the trees, adding them and her little leaves with liquid glue and varying thicknesses of dimensional adhesive.

She then cut scraps of brown and white card stock using our You Script With Shadow die and adhered them together. She also stamped Hurray for Fall twice with brown ink on more scraps of white card stock, trimmed them closely and cut the “Fall” of one of them, adding it above the You die cuts.

Super cute, right? Here’s what Lisa used today to make this seriously fun card:
