Summer is finally here and with all the beautiful blooms outside, our designer was inspired to make a paper daisy flower – TWO in fact, for us today. She used our organic shapeable daisy dies to quickly cut and shape two beautiful flowers to add a beautiful dimensional effect to her circle cards. Let’s take a peek at these beauties!

Aren’t those paper daisies GORGEOUS? We are in love with all her little details like the variegated striping on the petals to the fabulous layered circles to the swirl of gold gold. And just look at those flower centers! Don’t they just take these over the top?

We love how these are essentially the same card executed in different colors and occasions – when you make a card you love, consider making a few more right away while you have all your goodies out!

We’ve got some details for you so you can try these out at home. First, cut your circle layers using the Nested Small Circle Stitch Die . Use our new (and SUPER popular!) Color Fuse ink to stamp some layers with the Horizontal Stripe Rubber Background Stamp  and to stencil others softly to get that lovely depth and perfect color coordination.

Die cut your petals with the Organic Shapeable Daisy Die and color as you like. Our designer used two different techniques on hers. She did her yellow petals with the bases done with Copic markers and used a Color Fuse cube to add that beautiful detail to the edges and petal surfaces. For the pink petals she used Copics to add those pretty details. Which do you prefer? The sky’s the limit when you are coloring your own paper daisy flower!

After the flowers were colored and assembled she added that fine gold thread, the cute little die cut and shaped flower centers and some fresh looking sprigs around her standout paper flower. Some nuvo drops and a simple sentiment propped up on foam tape finished these miniature paper flowers.
