Check out today’s beautiful project to get a Rubbernecker October Release sneak peek at a new stamp set and NEW coordinating product!

You know us – we are like little kids with a secret that we just can’t keep! We just HAD to put up at least one Rubbernecker October Release Sneak Peek and we thought this card from Jamie was perfect. Not only is it a beautiful Fall floral card but it makes perfect use of a brand new product we are offering.

Lots and LOTS of our customers and fans have shared with us that they use masks over and over and many times with our floral sets. And truly, how many times do you REALLY want to cut up yet another sticky note? We thought we’d make some reusable masks for some of our new floral sets to make everyone’s life easier.

These masks are just 7 mil thick. For some perspective, a credit card is about 30 mil thick with a standard freezer storage baggie being about 3 mil thick. We wanted to create something thin enough to give you the ability to get super close to your stamped images but thick enough that it didn’t fall apart with tons of use. This thickness gave us everything we needed and we are SO excited to share these with you! Let’s get the skinny for the making.

First, Jamie die cut some white card stock with the largest die in our Mini Slimline Tab Scalloped Holes die set. She placed that in her stamp positioner and used our coming-tomorrow* Floral Embrace stamp set to create a little flower bunch using inks from Color Fuse Sets #1 and #11. PRO TIP: Jamie used her stamp positioner to assist with superior placement and to be able to re-stamp to get the full saturation of color she wanted for this design.

Now Jamie took the brand new Floral Embrace Mask set and placed the different shapes over the corresponding flowers and used our Repeating Bricks Stencil with Caramel and Cinnamon Color Fuse Ink from Set #2 to add her background design.

Jamie layered this over a brown panel cut to add a whisper of a border and then added it to a yellow top-folding card base.

For her sentiment, Jamie cut scraps of brown and gold glitter card stock with one of the shapes in our Small Tags die set. She stamped her sentiment from the new stamp set with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with white powder to echo the “grout” in her stenciled bricks. Jamie cut her gold tag in half from top to bottom and adhered these two halves to the back of her heat embossed tag to create little borders on either end.

Jamie adhered this on a playful tilt to her card with some dimensional adhesive and added a couple of wraps of pretty gold cord to echo the gold in her sentiment. And, no doubt, sent up a little thanks for those handy masks while she admired her card!

Here’s what you will want to snap up to replicate this card in your own craft studio:
