We Honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Today we honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who didn’t just stand for the rights of his fellow Black Americans but in fact stood against inequality for EVERYONE.

In his iconic “I Have a Dream Speech” he said “I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.” While much of that dream was centered around the struggle for what he called his “Negro” brethren, his entire life was dedicated to the idea of unilaterally applied civil rights for all citizens.

Dr. King’s message was so universal that it led to LBJ being inspired to sign into law  Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965, making our country that much stronger and more unified.

As a company, Rubbernecker has always believed not just in equality but in the richness and value that diversity brings. We are one of the few paper crafting companies who have an entire line of African American people stamps (images below) and are proud to show off the projects our designers and fans create using them. We appreciate and love the opportunity to learn from all our customers from all races, cultures, faiths, nationalities and ethnicities.

Today, we take a moment to send our thanks to a man who helped to create a platform for our ongoing efforts to unify and equalize our country, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
