Happy World Card Making Day 2022! Have you set aside any time today to celebrate a day that celebrates all of us who LOVE making cards? We sure hope you did – you deserve it!
A few days ago we celebrated National Coffee Day with a super fun blog hop. We are VERY excited to share another simply stunning handmade coffee card from our Guest Designer, Ricky Burton Romero. Ricky’s Instagram page, Bromero Cards, is a very popular place to soak up some fabulous eye candy and get loads of inspiration for all kinds of cards. We are thrilled that we get to show off some of his creations using our products and today’s coffee card is just a major chef’s kiss! Let’s take a look at how he put this together for us.
Ricky started by taking a piece of coffee colored card stock and stamped our Coffee Bean Background stamp with embossing ink and then heat embossed it with white powder for some crisp contrast.
He then cut this out with the second die from our Mini Slimline Tabbed Deckle die set and adhered this to his card base.
Then, using our Layered Coffee Cup stamp set, Ricky chose his ink colors – these shades from Color Fuse Set #9 really POP with the browns from Set #3! – and followed the handy free included layering guide with the stamp set to create that perfect dimension.
He cut his cup out with our coordinating die and used dimensional adhesive to set that cup right over the beans.
Ricky stamped his choice of sentiment onto black card stock with the same embossing ink and heat embossed it with the white powder. He trimmed that closely into a tight rectangle and then added that, too, to his card front, offset to the side bridging the beans and the card base, with more dimensional adhesive.
This quick and easy but oh-so-fun card is such a great way to make a nod to both World Card Making Day 2022 and National Coffee Day and we hope it really “perks” up your creativity!
