These birthday cards – cute animals included from one stamp – are just perfect for “kids” of any age! The adorable critters set in a pretty, dreamy frame add a magical touch to a birthday wish and we can’t wait to show you how Annie did it. Annie says “Sometimes an image is so perfect, you can’t wait to color it and don’t need to add too much to embellish it” and we SO agree!

Let’s get started!

Begin by cutting a piece of white card stock to around 5″ square. Over that stamp our No So Many Random Dots background stamp with Versamark and heat emboss with white powder. This background stamp is perfect for snow, rain, a simple random design element or here, confetti!

Blend shades of blue ink – here Annie used our own Color Fuse inks in Sonata, Serene and Sapphire – over this heat embossed panel with the darkest shades toward the bottom going lighter toward the top. Buff any ink off the embossed images with a tissue.

Cut this panel with our Square Combo #1 OPC die; keep the largest two frames for this project and save the others for another project.

Now stamp our Birthday Tree Party stamp onto white card stock with a Copic friendly ink, color in all the little cuties with your Copics and trim it down to a 4 1/4″ square. Add this colored image to your 4 1/2″ square card base with a tape runner. Add the embossed double frame around the image with foam tape.

Stamp your choice of a sentiment – this one from our Happy Birthday set – onto a scrap of card stock in Versamark and emboss with white powder to echo the confetti in the frame. Trim it up and add to the frame with more foam tape.

You can finish this off with little pearls or whatever little blingy elements you like.
