First, Jamie cut a panel of white card stock sized for a slimline card front using two dies from the Slimline Nested Stitch Die to create a pop-out panel and frame all in one cut.
Then she replaced the panel inside its opening and stamped both together using the new Autumn Harvest set with Citrus, Apricot, Pumpkin, Nectar, Mango, Melon, Farn and Caramel Color Fuse inks. PRO TIP: You CAN stamp first and cut later but Jamie had a pretty good vision of how she wanted things laid out so she opted to cut first to get her stamping just so.
Next, she adhered a piece of acetate to the back of the stamped frame piece. Then she adhered the pop-out panel to the center of the card. PRO TIP: To get your placement just perfect, place adhesive on just the panel (not the frame) and place it inside the opening on the frame. Line everything up and then press on the panel to adhere it to the card front and lift away the frame. Next, Jamie created her little “shaker corral” by placing foam tape all around the opening, making sure to have the strips butt up against each other so none of the shaker bits fall out.
Then place your shaker pieces inside the foam tape – use punchies, sequins, glitter…anything that will move around and coordinates with your design is fair game!
Now you can add your frame over the foam tape. PRO TIP: Add a little bit of foam tape to the outside corners of the frame to give it additional support when attached to the card.
