You will want to save this in your card ideas for friends file FOR SURE!

We are getting such a kick out of this precious card – it combines our theme of Spring with a design for cute card ideas for friends that can be adapted for any time of year. Jamie chose some sweet, soft colors for this version and we can see it in tropical colors for summer, those beautiful burnished shades for the fall and even this same white glitter paper with frosty tones in the winter.

While we go through the steps to make this one, keep those other seasons in mind and make some notes in your ideas file!

Jamie stamped her choices of images from our NEW Bunnies and Flowers set (Being released on March 8th) onto watercolor paper with Onyx VersaFine Ink and heat embossed it with clear powder. We hope you love this little sneak peek of the upcoming set, we are so excited to get it in your hands! She then watercolored her images with Zig Clean Color Clear Brush pens – you can use these or your favorite watercolor tools – and then cut them out with the coordinating dies.

Using our Mini Slimline Cover #3 die, Jamie cut some white glitter paper – because who doesn’t love a little sparkle? – and then adhered it to a card panel sized piece of patterned purple paper.

While she had her die cutter out, she also cut a piece of vellum with the middle sized die from our Nested Circle Scallop With Holes set.

For her tongue in cheek but heartfelt sentiment, Jamie stamped it onto a scrap of white card stock with purple ink (Electric Purple Radiant Neon from Tsukineko) and heat embossed it with Spring Sparkle Lavender Embossing Powder (from Stampendous).  She trimmed this into a neat rectangle and layered it over a scrap of black glittere card stock, trimming those edges to even borders.

Assembly time! Jamie, adhered her purple patterned paper panel (say that three times fast!) to a slimline card base. She set her bunny in the basked and adhered them together, then adhering them as one piece to the center of her vellum circle with some dimensional adhesive. The then added the vellum circle to the bottom half of her card, hiding her adhesive behind the bunny and basket.

As a last step, Jamie added her sentiment at a playful angle using more dimensional adhesive and added a tiny watercolored flower to the sentiment with a dot of liquid glue.

Here are the things Jamie used from our store today – we love that she’s created a year long design idea out of what is an otherwise seasonal set!
