We love seeing and saving flower birthday card ideas and this beauty with its white on white background in combination with those bright, cheery, almost tropical flowers takes our breath away! Melinda has created a keeper for us and we hope you pin this for future reference because we can see this card design idea being used over and over in all kinds of color combinations.
Shall we make one? On white card stock, start stamping your layered flowers from our It’s Springtime Set in your choices of colors. Here, Melinda chose Rose, Bubble Gum and Crimson Color Fuse inks in layering order to build her blooms. She added gold pigment ink as her centers; Versamark with your choice of embossing powder would work well, too. Instead of the expected green, Melinda chose Sonata and Serene blues in Color Fuse and we just love that contrast with the hot pinks!
Die cut all your flowers and leaves and while you have your machine handy, cut your base layer using the largest Slimline Nested Stitch die, a second layer using the die the next size down and then cut that smaller layer again with the Slimline Insert Circle Lattice die.
Make your greeting by stamping it onto white card stock and trimming closely. Cut another piece of white card stock to slightly larger and use your Serene Color Fuse cube to swipe around the edges, creating a perfectly coordinating mat!
Now let’s put it all together! Adhere your circle lattice cut piece to the larger layer with liquid adhesive and then attach that assembly to your card base with foam tape. Now arrange your gorgeous flowers in a way that you like and when you’ve got them just so, add them with varying thicknesses of dimensional adhesive. Pop your greeting on and – VOILA! – you’ve used this one of our flower birthday card ideas to create a masterpiece!
Here are the items Melinda used from our store today and note that this beautiful design can be used with all kinds of color combinations so be sure to check out all the color families in the Color Fuse line!
