Send the sweetest holiday message with this cute-enough-to-eat gingerbread man Christmas card!
We are just loving this adorable gingerbread man Christmas card! It’s such a lovely, classic way to send a holiday greeting and is perfect for people for whom the holidays are all about the treats!
This card also has a huge secret – it’s SUPER fast and easy to put together and ideal for batch making! Let’s take a look at how Allison put this together.
First, she cut kraft card stock with our Mr. & Mrs. Gingerbread die. Because this die cuts two pieces at once, you can make multiples of this card even faster! She cut the little hat and trim and the other little details out of scraps of complementary card stock colors.
With white ink or watered down white acrylic paint, Allie, added some splatters over her fresh baked friend to look like powdered sugar. She added her little details with tiny dabs of liquid glue. Allie sorted through her buttons and added a couple that looked like candy. You could use any embellishment you have that adds to that yummy look. Allie put together the little hat and decorated it with a teeny tiny pom-pom!
For the background, Allie used one of the dies in our Nested Tag Stitch set and cut a piece of patterned card stock from our Festive Farmhouse Paper Pad, looping some striped baker’s twine through the hole.
She then cut white and lime green card stock with our Joy Word With Shadow die set, adhered the two pieces together.
Allie cut a piece of white card stock with the largest die in our Nested Rectangle Small Stitch die set and adhered it to a pink card base. Using some dimensional adhesive, she attached her tag to the center of the card. With more foam tape, she then added her gingerbread man and finally, her word die cut. One more button over a looped bow made from the same baker’s twine as on the tag and this mega-cute card was ready to tickle someone’s fancy!
Does this make you want to choose this gingerbread man Christmas card as you go-to this year? You can swap out that die cut word for other sentiments, too, for other occasion cards. We are thinking this might be an incredibly cute birthday card!
