Just wait until you see these beyond adorable Halloween gift tags made with one of our brand new stamp sets!
As we’ve mentioned, Halloween is the third most popular holiday in the US. Maybe it’s the cute costumes, the sense of community with trick or treating or the vast amounts of candy circulating but we know Halloween paper crafting is always very popular. These insanely sweet Halloween gift tags from Allison are just the thing to use to turn any little treat into something special and she’s serving up all her inside scoop – let’s see!
Start by ink blending your favorite shades of Color Fuse Ink on to scraps or pieces of white card stock. Allie used dark and light shades from the same sets to create these gorgeous transitional elements from dark to light – think ombre but randomly on the paper.
Allie used the following Color Fuse Ink shades from the sets she’s added in her links below: Apricot, Bubblegum, Autumn, Melon, Orchid, Fern, Lavender, Mango, Lilac, Blush, Citrus, Custard. Remember, you can always order the complete set of Color Fuse Inks here to have every delicious hue at your fingertips!
Next, using one of the tags from our Holiday Tags die set, cut out all your Color Fuse custom colored card stock. Note that you will be using two tag die cuts for each Halloween gift tag you want to make.
Once all your tags are cut out, run the through your die cutting machine with our Circle Pierced Cover die to add some fun texture. Pair up your tags in color combos you love.
Before adhering together, use the TOP of the tag die to cut a “chomp!” out of the corner of the top tags. Is this not the CUTEST little detail? For more detail, take some scraps of vellum and ink it up with complementary or contrasting shades of Color Fuse Ink and tear to create little irregular layers to sandwich between the two tags at the bite mark.
Adhere your tags together and add your baker’s twine, ribbon or other trim of your choice. Set these aside.
Now using our brand new and over the top adorable Pumpkin Dress Up set, stamp all the little trick or treating gourds in their costumes and their little accessories onto scraps of white card stock. Color them up using your favorite media and cut them all out with our coordinating die.
Stamp your sentiments in a variety of Color Fuse shades you used on your tags onto more scraps of white card stock and fussy cut around them leaving a whisper of a white border.
Assemble your Halloween gift tags by simply adhering your little gorgeous gourds onto the tags, add the sentiments with little pieces of dimensional adhesive and add a few Nuvo drops here and there for some extra pop.
Can you even?? Just look at all that magical detail! These are the PERFECT project to make in front of a good binge-worth TV session, too. Stamp everything out and then plop down with your colored pencils or markers and just have a blast coloring away the afternoon.
Here are the items from the Rubbernecker store that you will want to have to make these perfectly sweet Halloween gift tags:
Do you need some ideas for things to use these adorable tags on? So obviously, a little cello bag with candy would be perfect. PRO TIP: Get one of those huge assortment bags – the Dollar Store is a GREAT place to get these and for a lot less than other places! Then, depending on your willpower, either pull out all the ones you LOVE and give those away to prevent temptation. OR, pull out all the ones you don’t like and give those away. Everyone’s tastes are different, so no one will be the wiser!
If candy isn’t your thing, you can get little bottles of hand sanitizer – some in Halloween themed packaging and scents – and that is always a welcomed treat.
You can also make some MORE tags and gift a set of those to someone you know shares your love of this once-a-year event.
And if you have a World Market near you, they sell TONS of fun foods in itty bitty sample sizes. These can be such a fun way to customize your treats to the tricksters you are gifting.
We just LOVE these Halloween gift tags and hope you get a chance to make some yourself because the results are not only spectacular, the making is a treat for YOU!
