Make a few of these pretty handmade Fall thank you cards to have on hand!
Today we get to feast our eyes on this idea for such vibrant and cheerful handmade Fall thank you cards thanks to Annie. She says “While brightly colored leaves get all the love during fall, I actually love the gorgeous fiery autumn flowers more.” Well when they look like this, we sure do agree!
Let’s take a look at how Annie made this for us and what we will need to make them ourselves.
Annie stamped the flowers from our Just Love stamp set onto white card stock using Lemon, Citrus and Apricot Color Fuse Inks from Sets #1 and #2 with her centers in Cinnamon Color Fuse from Set #3. She stamped her leaves and stems with Fern and Juniper Color Fuse Ink from Set #11 and then cut everything out with our coordinating dies.
Next, Annie chose a sheet of patterned card stock from our Autumn Leaves Paper Pad and trimmed it to card front size and adhered it to her card base. She trimmed a piece of kraft colored card stock to 3 ¼ ” X 4 ½ ” and stamped it with Mocha Color Fuse Ink from Set #3 with our Wood Grain Fence background stamp. She then cut a piece of white card stock with the largest die from our Nested Loops die set.
Annie adhered her wood grain piece to the center of the white die cut and adhered it to her card front with dimensional adhesive. She then added her pretty Autumn flowers to the center with more dimensional adhesive to create a lovely depth to her layers.
For her clever faux banner sentiment – and we are SO keeping this idea handy! – Annie stamped a sentiment from our Kittie Says Phrases #1 stamp set onto a scrap of white card stock. She trimmed the sentiment down into a rectangle, leaving it ½ ” tall. She then cut two scraps of white card stock to ½ ” square and using her paper snips, snipped into one side of each square from the center into about the center of the square. She then trimmed from each corner on the snipped side into the center point, creating two banner elements.
Annie adhered her sentiment with more foam tape over her stems and then adhered her little snipped squares aligned a bit below the sentiment on each side to give the appearance of a folder banner. SO clever!
These handmade Fall thank you cards are pretty quick, can be done it lots of pretty colors and with so many patterns to chose from in our Paper Pads, you can really customize the design to your mood or the occasion or the color story you are loving. Try them out!
