Handmade Floral Cards That Last!

Rubbernecker Blog floral

Before we look at today’s handmade floral cards that last, I have a question for you. Do you prefer real plants or fake plants? I only ask because as I was strolling through Target, I noticed that fake plants have their own isle and I shamelessly find myself gravitating to buy them ALL. While the majority of us women are amazing homemakers, strong businesswomen, thriving entrepreneurs, and rockstar mothers, able to keep several children alive I might add, many of us have to admit that we can’t figure out how to keep our plants alive haha.

For this, and many other reasons, I like to stick to plastic plants and paper flowers! Beautiful to look at, harder to destroy!! haha! Today I’m sharing these gorgeous daisies from Rubbernecker stamps .

I’m loving the new stencils that Rubbernecker has released so I decided to pair one of them up with the daisies on this card.

I started by die cutting the largest Nested rectangle X stitch dies from white Neenah white card stock. I then masked off the stitching and did some soft distress oxide ink blending in the colour spun sugar. I then used the Mixed circle stencils and glimmer paste over the oxide ink panel. I die cut 2 panels from the Nested pierced rectangle dies. One I used to stamp and heat emboss the sentiment in Versamark black ink from the Best friends clear stamp set. The larger panel I stamped the Daisies image on with Memento black ink. Rubbernecker Blog img_0078 I coloured the daisies in with copics in the colours RV06,04,00,000,Y23

The leaves were colored in YG23 and YG21.

Finally, I used foam tape on the back of both the sentiment and the daisy panel to add dimension.

I really hope you enjoyed my card today, and were encouraged to decorate the world with real and fake plants, as well as with beautiful handmade floral cards that last!
