Check out Kittie’s tips on how to make a vellum die cut poinsettia!
We were astounded when we saw Kittie’s post this week on how to make a die cut vellum poinsettia – can you believe how gorgeous this is? She is sharing all her insightful and artistic details and tips on her blog so we are STRONGLY encouraging you go check out the post.
Kittie added so much to her beautiful white poinsettia by adding some white heat embossed speckles on her vellum before cutting it with our Poinsettia #2 die. This one small step adds SO much realism, texture and visual richness to this gorgeous bloom!
She also used the flower petal shapes themselves in green to serve as the leaves. This allows all of the beautiful shaping of her flower to really stand out and not be distracted from by a new series of shapes.
In her post, Kittie shares more details on how to shape vellum and as you can see in the image below, the shaping really brings this flower to life. She even has a link to one of her fantastically helpful videos showing how best to assemble these beauties.
Here’s what Kittie used today to prove that she is a flower making goddess!
