These lavender daisies on a handmade card are so calming and so beautiful – and SO easy to make!

Today we are sharing another spectacular project from the talented Julie Warner in the form of the most luscious lavender daisies on a handmade card that anyone would just LOVE to open! The soft colors are so velvety and calming and seem to just pop off the front of the card. Shall we get some details?

Julie started by stamping the flowers from our Daisy Day Dream set onto white card stock and then colored them in with her Copics to give that gorgeous, beautifully blended, watercolor look. Julie helpfully shared with us the Copics she used so if we want to CASE this card exactly as it is, we could. Thank you, Julie!

She then used our coordinating die to cut the flowers out and set them aside while she made her fun layered background.

Julie cut a piece of white card stock with one of the dies in our Nested Deckle Rectangle Dies set and a piece of lavender card stock with the second largest of our Mini Slimline Nested Stitch dies. PRO TIP: As Julie has shared with us before, she loves using this as a quick asymmetrical card layer for her A2 cards. While she was die cutting, she cut the shadow portion of our You Word With Shadow die set from black and the script portion from white card stock.

Julie adhered her lavender panel to the right side of a white card base. She then stamped our Freehand Frame onto her white deckle panel. After adhering her two word pieces together, she positioned everything on her card to gauge where she wanted to stamp her sentiment, adding very light pencil marks to give her landmarks. She placed her deckle panel in her stamp positioner and, inking up the “are” and “amazing” from the sentiment one at time, she stamped them seperately to create a stacked phrase.

She then added her deckle panel to her card front with some thin foam tape, adhered her word die cut in position over her stamped sentiment and then added her flowers with varying thicknesses of foam tape to create that beautiful dimension.
