This card shows off this one mini slimline die to perfection!
When we saw this card over on Kittie’s blog, we just knew we had to share it – can you believe how much impact this one little mini slimline die makes on this darling card? Kittie shares all her details on her own site but we just had to point out a few things that made us fall in love with this project.
What we especially love about Kittie’s smart design is that she used our new Mini Slimline Diamond Cover die as a framework for her tiny die cut details and this is totally customizable! Picture all sorts of other tiny flowers, little holiday elements, tiny bees or bugs or birds, even baby elements! There is pretty much no theme or motif that won’t look fantastic in combination with the diagonal grid this die creates.
Kittie mentioned that it really helps the structure of this card to add slim strips of foam tape on some of the inner strips to keep it nice and stable. This, of course, allows your additional multiple die cut elements to star inside their tiny windows. Just look at how the pattern pops!
We also have to point out something that we never really though of before but now can’t unthink it. See those tiny white centers of these beautiful little flowers? Know what they are? These are the leftovers from die cuts Kittie made with our Nested Scallop with Holes die. Kittie says “I save all the tiny die cut circles from the eyelet scallop with holes dies to use for flower centers, falling snow, etc.” Honestly, we will never look at all the “stuff” that falls out of our die cuts the same way!
