Today in the US we celebrate Mother’s Day. We know that this can be a sensitive time for many people and we did want to acknowledge those who celebrate while being sensitive to those who don’t.
One way to look at the word “mother” is not just as a noun but a verb – “To treat someone with great or excessive care or kindness”. In that light, you can see examples of mothering everywhere with people related or not!
And today would be a perfect day to reach out to people who have “mothered” you, who you see mothering others and to whom you feel are worthy of your mothering.
For those of you who are mothers – in any way – we celebrate you today!
