See one way to alter a die cut to make a cool spot for a sentiment!
Today we are sharing just one way to alter a die cut and it creates such a perfect spot for a sentiment! Julie used our Mini Slimline Cover #4 on her project and we can’t help but think how fabulous this would look with our new Striped Cover Die, either horizontally or vertically!
Julie took her white card stock and lined up her die, letting the paper and the die overhand the edge of the bottom cutting plate where she wanted her cutting to stop. She then slid everything down so the other side of that uncut area was lined up at the edge of the cutting plate and ran it through a second time. Then she took her craft knife and cut along the open areas to create that “built in” section for her sentiment.
Isn’t that SO COOL? We can totally see that being used with lots of our cover dies and can’t wait to experiment!
For the rest of this beautiful card, Julie stamped some of the images from our Colorful Vines at the bottom, stamping a couple of extras onto scraps of white card stock and fussy cutting them with her snips. She then sponged some of the yellow Color Fuse .Inks from Set # at the top, darker and heavier to the left side.
Julie stamped her sentiment onto her altered die cut and adhered it over her inked and stamped panel with some dimensional adhesive to give it a bit of elevation. She tucked her hand cut foliage into the design, adhering them with dabs of liquid glue. She added a few gems and popped the whole thing onto her card base and she was done!
