See how you can make some truly beautiful yet simple handmade Fall cards in mere minutes!
Today our friend and Rubbernecker Associate Designer, Kittie, is sharing her idea for simple handmade Fall cards that are just as gorgeous as the ones that use a zillion fun things and take an afternoon to design to perfection. As much as we may love a good capital-P Project, sometimes a simple but sweet card is just what we need, both to send AND to make.
Something we really love about this particular card design is that A – you can use so many different patterns from our new Paper Pads for that background and B – you can swap out the sentiment for any occasion and C – this idea is easily adaptable to any other season with a focal element die cut swap. You will want to bookmark this post either here or over on Kittie’s blog where she shares all her insider scoop. Be sure to check it out!
To make this card Kittie used our newly released Autumn Leaves 6×6 Paper Pad paired with the Half Tree, Tiny Leaves #1 and the Splatter Leaves clear set. We can see a lot of the designs in our new Harvest Time Paper Pad as being excellent choices for this same design.
Kittie used a piece of the gorgeous, sturdy card stock weight paper from her Paper Pad and added a very simple sentiment strip to set up her card. A simple die cut tree trunk and some tiny paper leaves cut from random scraps are the only decoration and you can see that’s all you need to bring this card to life.
As we mentioned, you can adapt this idea for simple handmade Fall cards to other seasons, too, using our new Rubbernecker Paper Pads as your backgrounds and inspiration to choose your die cut details. Grab one or a few or even ALL of them and see which designs inspire you to create your own versions of this quick and easy card idea!
