See a great example of snowman card ideas you can use all season long!
While we are celebrating Christmas in July this month, we are thrilled to have this all-occasion project to add to our snowman card ideas. While it makes an excellent Christmas card, it’s also perfect for just about any other snowman-needed occasion! Let’s see how Allison put this together for us.
First, Allie used the second largest die from our Nested Rectangle With Pierce set adn cut some white card stock. She then took the “some people are worth melting for” stamp from our Snowmen With Presents set and masked off “some people” with tape, inked up the stamp, peeled off the tape and then stamped the greeting. PRO TIP: This is a great way to modify your stamps! Just cover up what you don’t want to see with tape before inking, remove the tape and voila – it’s like a whole different stamp!
Then Allie randomly stamped the snowflakes in black around sentiment and all over the panel.
Then she used our You Script With Shadow die and cut both pieces from white card stock. She then used her blending brush and some Lemon Color Fuse Ink and blended the shadow die cut to a soft yellow. She then adhered the two pieces together with some liquid glue.
Next, Allison stamped the snowman and his gifts, colored them in with her markers and cut them out using our coordinating dies. She then arranged and adhered her little elements with varying thicknesses of dimensional adhesive, tucking elements behind each other to add all that lovely dimension.
The last step on this piece was to wrap some striped baker’s twice twice around the bottom and tie it in a sweet little bow.
Allie then trimmed a piece of grey card stock to be slightly larger than her decorated panel, adhered the two together with some foam tape and then popped both onto a card base with her tape runner.
Isn’t this just so adorable? You can change up the greeting to suit any occasion and the lovely play of black, grey and white with pops of color means you can easily customize it to whatever occasion you are recognizing.
