A Beautiful Fall Leaf Wreath Card!

Rubbernecker Blog Come-check-out-how-I-made-this-clean-and-simple-fall-leaf-wreath-card.

Relatively easy to make, this fall leaf wreath card is stunning and can be used for so many card sending reasons!

Kittie shared this gorgeous fall leaf wreath card a couple of years ago and we remembered it for its exquisitely simple design that lets those die cut fall leaves take center stage in such an impactful way. We thought it was a perfect card to share in this month’s Fall theme.

Kittie shares more details in her post here and we wanted to point out a few things that make this card idea one you will for sure want to keep handy.

First, Kittie used on of her favorite styles of background – a white on white layered look that she easily created using a decorative frame die slightly popped up with dimensional adhesive. Then she applied classic Fall colored inks over her die cut leaves in a random fashion to mimic that magnificent mottling of real autumn leaves. And last, Kittie covered those leaves with embossing ink and heat embossed them with clear powder for a spectacular gloss and to brighten the colors of the inks.

One of the things that makes this card so ideal is that with just a sentiment swap, this card can serve as a perfect seasonal greeting for just about any occasion. It would be a great thank you card, an invitation, congratulations, birthday, even an encouragement or sympathy card.

When you have a design that lets one element – in this case the leaves – stand out with no additional details, any sentiment you use will become the main message. That’s why we say you should bookmark this idea!
