Today we have a slimline card for a friend that is truly a one of a kind!

Making a slimline card for a friend is a fun way to create something that gives you plenty of space to catch up on all the comings and goings of life. This one from Annie was inspired by her thinking of the walls of fresh flowers at the flower market. So she made a little “slat wall” with a slimline die and tucked bunches of beautiful bright blue flowers all around. Let’s get the steps!

Start by stamping the flowers from our brand new Just Love stamp set onto white card stock using Sonata, Serene, and Sapphire Color Fuse ink for the blooms, Fern and Grass Color Fuse for the stems, and Apricot Color Fuse for the flower centers. Make three bouquets total and then cut them out with our coordinating dies.

Now cut silver shimmer card stock with our Slimline OPC Diagonal Die for the slat wall.  While you have your machine out, stamp your sentiment onto a scrap of white card stock with Versafine Clair in Blue Belle and cut it out with the smallest die from our Inside Scallop Nested Die set.

Next, cut a piece of blue card stock to 8¼” X 3¼” and tape our Slimline Stained Glass stencil over it to keep it from shifting. Using a blending brush, blend Azure Color Fuse over the stencil for a gorgeous tone on tone look.

Adhere this stenciled panel to a slimline card base with adhesive tape and then the silver die cut panel over that with foam tape. Now tuck your bouquets at different angles into your slats, adhering with varying thicknesses of dimensional adhesive. Last, pop on your greeting and then FILL that beautiful space inside with some juicy news!
