Yesterday we learned how to make a cute die cut reindeer card and, keeping with the theme, today we have this adorable die cut snowman card for you to try. There’s something so delightful about cards that are sweet and charming and we sure do have the goods for you to make these in so many different themes.
Today Allison is using an unexpected stencil design for her background which looks just perfect as the setting for this sweet hand colored snowman. Some easy die cut sentiment elements and this card is ready to go!
Allison started by using our Circled Paver Stencil and Beachside Color Fuse Ink from Set #9 to add some circles to a piece of white card stock. She then cleaned off the stencil and flipped it top to bottom and added more circles with Melon Color Fuse Ink from Set #11. Who knew that these two colors together would be the perfect foil for the bright, wintry shades Allison used? She then cut this with one of the dies from our Nested Deckle Rectangle Dies and adhered this to a white card base with some foam tape adhesive.
Next, she stamped the little guy from our Laughing Snowmen set and colored him up with her Copic markers. Note the added little white splatters she made on the tree and his hat – apparently, he’s celebrating the first flurry! When she was all done coloring him, she cut him out with our coordinating Laughing Snowmen dies.
For her sentiment, Allison stamped her phrase in black ink on a scrap of white card stock and trimmed it close, matting it on a piece of coordinating light blue card stock cut to add a whisker of a border. Then using our Merry Word With Shadow die set, she cut the shadow portion from dark red and the script from white and adhered them together with liquid glue.
Now she added all her little elements to her stenciled panel with more dimensional adhesive and with just a couple of little enamel dots in bright red, this card was ready to cheer someone’s day!
