Make some handmade fall cards that will blow them away!

You all know Kittie does magical things with die cuts and this latest of her handmade fall cards is one of many perfect examples. Kittie used just a few of our dies, a limited selection of colors and some of her tips and tricks for shaping die cuts to make this card and we know whoever receives this is probably going to want to frame it!

First, Kittie used our new Diamond With Stitch Cover die to add just a hint of a rustic look to her background. We designed this die to span several different styles and it’s just perfect with Kittie’s arrangement of fall foliage.

Kittie gets extra textural impact on her projects by adding just a touch of shaping to her die cuts. You can really see this with how she formed the ivy pieces on this project. By adding a little bit of curving shaping, she’s echoed the lines of the die cuts and that creates lots of visual movement and shadows that makes it almost impossible to stop looking at the card!

For her flowers, Kittie used three of the five sets from her Kittiekraft by Rubbernecker line that was released in the spring, showing that flowers can be used in any season with just a change up of the colors! You definitely have to visit her post to see her step by step flower making video and see how she altered one of her die cut flowers to create a whole NEW bloom!

Kittie also kept to a limited color story of oranges and yellows to make sure that all the little details worked together to create that rich scene. All of the elements on this card – the flowers, the pumpkins, the butterflies, the frame, even all the tiny details – are beautiful shades of the same colors, giving it an unexpected elegance.
