Who knew burlap thank you cards could be so fun?

Well, Jamie did – these burlap thank you cards are so perfect for the Fall season! And we are already picturing them for Christmas, for the spring…….that rustic burlap frame adds instant visual interest and texture and then it’s just the decorating that sets the theme. Let’s look at how to put them together!

First Jamie die cut a piece of burlap with our Slimline OPC Scallop die. Jamie says “I use the Crossover ll that Rubbernecker carries because you can adjust the pressure by turning a knob on top, so you don’t have to mess around with changing out plates.  It really is wonderful, quick and easy!!” This feature on the Crossover II is one that comes in handy when you expand your crafting supplies to alternative materials like burlap and other fun surfaces.

She then attached her burlap frame to a piece of cream colored card stock that she cut just slightly smaller than the die cut so the edging from the cutting stood out.

Next. Jamie used our Maple Leaves die on some scraps of card stock in fall colors. These dies emboss veins onto the die cut shapes so you can use them as is and still have those nice details.

She adhered them around all three of the openings in the frame. Using our Pumpkin Color Fuse Ink from Set #2, Jamie stamped the greeting from our Best Wishes, Etc. set in each opening at different angles, mimicking how leaves drift to the ground in the Autumn breezes.

Jamie layered her pretty panel onto a slimline card sized piece of black and gray buffalo check paper.

She then added those sweet little bows in a black and white check to echo her background and with just a few black Nuvo Drops her card was ready!
