Is this coffee themed slimline card not just the CUTEST?

Before we get to Melinda’s absolutely adorable coffee themed slimline card today, did you all get your orders in for our new MINI Slimline dies? These are flying out of here like motivated bees and we want to make sure you get what you want when you want it! Be sure to check out this post if this is news to you and come on over and see what we have to make your card making even MORE fun!

Ok – let’s dive in to today’s card. Melinda says “I love coffee and really love making and enjoying a cup with friends. I have a really nice espresso machine to entice my friends to come by an chat and hang out.” Ooooh – an espresso machine? Sounds like spending a day at Melinda’s is full of things we love! Let’s see how she made this card for us today.

Melinda started by stamping her favorite images from our Cats in Coffee Cups set in Copic-friendly ink, colored them in with her Copics and then cut them out with our coordinating dies.

Next, Melinda took a piece of white card stock about 8″ X 3″ and using our Coffee Bean stencil and Cinnamon Color Fuse Ink from Set #3, added the beans to this panel. PRO TIP: This stencil isn’t quite long enough to cover all 8″ but thanks to the randomness of the pattern you can easily shift the stencil a bit and keep the visual rhythm going.

Melinda cut that panel with the die from our Slimline Nested With Stitch set that fit just inside the edges and cut it again (though you can do both at the same time) with our SLI Four Corners Circle die. She also took this opportunity to cut another piece of white card stock with the largest die from the same Slimline Nested With Stitch set.

Melinda adhered her largest white stitched layer to a black card base and centered her coffee bean layer over that, adding both with her tape runner. She stamped her greeting in the center window and added her die cut darlings with some foam tape to give them a hint of dimension. And – VOILA – adorable card done!

This is such a cute take on a coffee themed slimline card and we just love how that slimline insert die spaced everything out so beautifully over Melinda’s fun coffee bean background. Who do you know who would get a kick out of this card?
