Today’s adorable cupcake birthday slimline card has tons of extra space for all your happy wishes!
Today we get to “feast” our eyes on this adorable – and quick and easy! – cupcake birthday slimline card, loaded with cute details all thanks to the detailed stamps and a pretty patterned paper frame. Let’s look at the steps and see how we can reproduce this sweet treat at home.
Jamie started by cutting her festive decorative paper and a piece of white card stock with our Slimline OPC Scallop Die.
On the squares that popped out of the white card stock, Jamie used our Shadow Words stamp set and stamped one word from from her phrase onto each square with Serene and Grass Color Fuse Ink from Set #8 and #11, respectively. Jamie, of COURSE, saved the white frame for a future project!
Now Jamie stamped the cupcake from our Dessert set onto watercolor paper and colored them up using her watercolor pencils. Once done, she cut them out with our coordinating Dessert die.
To assembler her card, Jamie made her slimline base from blue card stock and then cut a piece of white card stock to layer between the base and her frame, adhering it with her tape runner. She adhered her frame with foam tape for some lovely dimension and then adhered her stamped squares inside each of the windows with her tape runner.
She popped up her cupcakes with more dimensional adhesive and then popped on a few pearls for some extra shine.
