Cute handmade snowman cards like these will get you through the whole winter for any occasion!

Aren’t these just SUCH cute handmade snowman cards? Can’t you just see anyone opening your envelope and being just totally bowled over by their cuteness? These are from Julie and today we are going to get her inside scoop on how she made them.

First she stamped the snowman from our Christmas Inchies several times, stamped the tree a few times and stamped some little accessories for her frosty friends. She colored them in with her Copic markers and then cut them out with our coordinating dies. She also cut a top hat for her lead snowman and a couple of little brooms using our Winter Snowmen Die from scraps of white card stock and colored them up, too. Next, she used our Small Snowflake die to make some white snowflakes from more scraps and cut a pale blue piece of card stock with a die from our Nested Rectangle Stitch set.

She adhered her die cut snowflakes randomly over her light blue panel, letting some overhang the edges and trimming even to add some visual movement. She adhered her trees – saving one – with liquid glue and then used a white Posca paint pen to splatter some tiny details over the whole thing. She then arranged her “supporting cast” of other snowmen around the card and adhered them with liquid glue.

For her central focal element, Julie used two graduated sized dies from our Nested Square Stitch set to make a white frame, also cutting a scrap of the same light blue card stock with the largest of the two frame dies. She used our Stitched Hill die to cut a scrap of white card stock and adhered it to the inside of the back of her little white frame. She then stamped her sentiment onto the bottom of the little frame.

She took her light blue square, gave it a little spatter with her white pen, adhered it to the back of her white frame, placing the adhesive only on the sides to be able to tuck in her tree. She added the tree with liquid glue and then popped her snowman on with some foam tape.

Really cute! We love how they all look so excited that it’s snowing – it’s as if they are celebrating the occasion for which the card is being sent!
