Ricky, today’s designer, says “This card reminds me of when I was in Portugal drinking their Vinho Verde which the country is known for. I can’t wait to go back!” His die cut card for wine lovers can, of course, be made in any color to represent their favorite vintage. Ricky’s choice of the fresh green to represent Vinho Verde just feels SO summery and we can imagine a chilled glass in our hand on a warm summer evening.

Let’s see how WE can make this summery card!

First, Ricky cut the striped paper from our Welcome Spring 6 X 6 Paper Pad with the largest and third largest dies from our Nested Rectangle With Holes die set.

While he had his die cutting stuff out, Ricky used his choice of fresh colors to cut out the pieces from our Wine Glass and Bottle die set.

PRO TIP: To make the bottle and wine glass to appear like glass, place a layer of vellum paper of the “liquid” as Ricky did.

Ricky arranged all his parts and pieces and then adhered them together with liquid glue.

Ricky grabbed our go-to for summer set, Kittie Says Summer, and stamped his sentiment using a couple of the phrases in Rose Color Fuse Ink from Set#5 on scraps of cream card stock and trimmed them to close rectangles.

To assemble his card, Ricky, adhered his largest die cut piece, stripes up, to a gray card base. He then flipped over his smaller die cut rectangle and adhered it at an angle with some dimensional foam adhesive to his card. He arranged his bottle and glass on the card, adhering them with more dimensional adhesive. As a last step, he added his sentiment strips with more foam adhesive on the ends and liquid glue where they overlapped his layer.

Refreshing and fun and packed with summer feels!
