Check out some fun ways to make cards using our new die cut words and phrases!
We recently added some new die cut words and phrases to our collection and you’ve all been giving us such great feedback! Thank you! We brought down the width of the shadow a tad and used an easy to read but still a li’l fancy script and apparently, it’s just what you’ve been waiting for!
When we saw Kittie’s post where she made this collection of pretty cards just by changing up her use of these new word dies, we just HAD to share! Let’s take a look at these four gorgeous projects! And if you want more details, just click on over to her site where she shares all her inside scoop.
First Kittie made this pretty card using the die cut inlay technique. This is where you cut the space out of your card panel and the words out of a different color and then inlay the die cut word into the space. Kittie used just the words – not the shadows – and it’s so pretty!
Then Kittie made another card using the same technique but used the shadow die for the inlay space and we just love how it sets off the word “Spring” without taking away from the bright punch of color.
For the next two, Kittie cut the shadows and the words, put them together and popped them up with some dimensional adhesive. You can see how you can get SO much impact with some simple die cutting.
And did you notice that Kittie used the same Nested Scallop with Half Holes as her card panel shape? All she changed were the color stories, the words and how she used them. You can see that you can get SO much mileage out of these die cut words and phrases with just a few little tweaks!
Here are the things Kittie used for these cards from our store:
