Today’s Fall themed thank you cards thank the season itself!
This month we’ve been sharing thank you cards and since it is still the season, these Fall themed thank you cards by Renee were ones we knew we had to share! Renee says that this card was inspired by her North Bend, Washington drive home from work every day. She says “I see mountains of trees for miles. It’s definitely something I look forward to when I drive home from the city and feel like I’m in another world.” That’s such a lovely testament of gratitude to nature itself and if you want to make a traditional thank you card, you can just swap out the greeting. Let’s take a look at how Renee created this pretty card.
She started with a card panel sized piece of white card stock and blended some light blue ink over most of the panel, adding a little light brown blended in at the base for some grounding.
She then took our new Pine Tree stamp set and used several shades of Color Fuse Ink to add her gorgeous fall colored trees. Renee started by stamping a row of trees using Autumn Color Fuse from Set #1, using the different sized trees for each one. Then she went in with more trees, varying the sizes each time, with Pumpkin Color Fuse from Set #2. PRO TIP: Stagger you placement of your trees to allow them to peek out and show off their nature inspired glorious colors. Now she went in with a row of softer green in Clover Color Fuse and last, the bottom most row with Basil Color Fuse, both greens from Set #10.
Now she layered that gorgeous autumnal colored scene over a piece of black card stock trimmed to provide a very fine border. PRO TIP: Adding a panel where color is the star, layering over black allows those colors to really pop! She added the whole assembly to an orange card base to echo the orange from the ink.
For her charming greeting, she stamped the sentiment onto a white card stock scrap and die cut it out with one our Nested Rectangle Stitch dies and then framed that, too, with a fine border of black card stock. She added this with some foam squares and then finished it off with some fall colored sequins.
We love that these beautiful Fall themed thank you cards can come together so quickly so you can make one or a whole stack easily and they just truly embody this beautiful season. We find ourselves a little envious of Renee’s drive home!
