He will not be able to get over the details on this slimline Father’s Day tool box card!
Kittie is back to her die cut magic and she’s created this incredibly detailed slimline Father’s Day tool box card. We can’t get over how incredibly realistic she’s made all the elements on this card and all you have to do to learn all her generous tips is to pop on over to her post where she shares it all. We wanted to make note of some of the details that really stood out to us.
First, the Tool Box
Kittie used wood grain card stock to cut out the Tool Box pieces and then using her “patented baby wipe” technique, wiped on some brown ink to accentuate the pattern.
And now the Tools
Kittie cut the tool pieces out from red and silver metallic card stock. Before assembling them, she used a waffle weave embossing folder to add the “grip” texture to her tool handles. Is that not SO perfect?
She adhered all these parts and pieces together with Glossy Accents for precision and for a perfectly clear finish should any adhesive show. She also added her tools to the card using dimensional adhesive to add depth and shadows.
We love too that Kittie created this on a slimline base because it really let her spread out all the elements so each one can get a good close up!
Kittie ends her post with these words of wisdom – “Be patient, let the dies do the work and remember, however yours comes out, it will be perfect because it’s about the love that goes into making it more than whether or not it looks like what you pictured it would be!” What an awesome thing to say!
