Who knew how cute fox Christmas cards could be?

Well, Allie did for sure, based on this idea she came up with for fox Christmas cards that has us totally captivated! We love how she combined two dies you would never suspect would work together so well and did a whole “peanut butter and jelly” thing on this card. Shall we see how she did it?

Annie started by stamping one of the foxy friends from our Fox stamp set, coloring him in and then cutting him out with our coordinating dies. She then cut some different patterned papers and scraps of white card stock using our Santa Mini die, assembling the different elements to create her details. While she had her die cutting machine out, she also cut more white card stock with our Rectangle Combo #2 OPC die and kept the outside three pieces together, saving the rest for future projects. She also cut a few pieces of foliage using our Small Ivy die from green card stock.

Next Allie took a piece of white card stock and cut it to fit behind her frame assembly. She stamped her sentiment from our Snowmen With Presents stamp set in Versamark and heat embossed it with black at the bottom of this panel. She then laid a straight edged scrap of paper above the sentiment and used some Beachside Color Fuse Ink from Set #9 to buff a little semi circle, using the straight edge as a mask to keep her horizon sharp and to create a colorful shadow effect for her festive fox. She also used some inks from Color Fuse Set #10 to add just a few touches of dimension to her greenery.

Now it was time to assemble! Allie adhered her sentiment panel to the center of her card base. She wrapped some twine around her three-piece frame and adhered it over her background with foam tape. She then added her fox to the center with more foam tape, popped his hat on his head and arranged her gifts around him, adding them with varying thicknesses of dimensional adhesive for some more visual interest. She cleverly snipped three leaves from her tiny ivy die cuts, adhered them to her fox’s hat with some liquid glue and added a tiny red Nuvo drop to the center to stand in for some holly. She added her candy and embellishments and more red Nuvo drops here and there and this friendly fellow was ready to make someone smile!

Isn’t this so fun? The tiny details Allie added are easy to do and really add so much! Here’s what she used from our store today:
