Quick and easy Christmas cards you can make in minutes!

No matter how well you plan, it’s always such a huge relief to have ideas for some quick and easy Christmas cards you can make in a flash. Kittie recently shared this idea on her blog and we just loved the simplicity of the design but how pretty it turned out. You can get all her details on her post here – below are some highlights we want to point out.

Kittie created this card simply by adding a card front sized panel of patterned paper over the front of a basic card base and added a layered strip with her single sentiment stamped onto it.

PRO TIP 1: using a medium sized greeting stamp that takes up a good piece of space on your strip makes this super fast.

PRO TIP 2: making cards like these gives you an excellent opportunity to use ip those pieces of patterned paper that are left over or for which you haven’t found the “perfect project”. Because your tree element will be a single color, even some of the more busy patterns will look great with this design.

PRO TIP 3: these quick and easy Christmas cards are also a great way to use up card stock scraps for the sentiment strips. They can all be different widths – no one will see two side by side! – as long as they can fit the greeting stamp.

Kittie use our Slimline Christmas Tree die to get her lush layers and that does help the making of this card go pretty fast. If you don’t yet have this die, you can substitute other evergreen tree dies and just snip them up to layer them from the bottom to the top. Our Evergreen Tree Die featured three different sized trees so that would be a great option. And of course, if you don’t want to deal with making layers, you could cut a few of the same die cut, adhere them together for some extra thickness, and add that to the card front. The extra weight of your thicker die cut will add its own visual impact and while different from Kittie’s layered look, will still be very pretty!

We do have to say, the layers on this card are gorgeous!
