Today we are sharing one of our designer’s funny card ideas for friends that is just PERFECT for your friends who might be a little more “mature”!
Jamie says this was a pretty easy card to make and share the steps with us so you can play along.
First, she stamped the Graduated Horizontal Stripe Stamp on white cardstock with VersaMark and emboss it all with Vintage Blue Embossing Enamel – we LOVE the added dimension this adds to this card! Then she die cut the panel using the largest die from the Nested Deckle Rectangle Dies Set and cut out the center of the panel using the Diamonds Tattered Die for some added visual interest. She popped the panel on a red card base for some excellent contrast.
She stamped her greeting, Behind You, on white cardstock square with Onyx Black VersaFine Ink and added it on top of a scrap of black, trimming it down to leave space for those red accents on the side. She added this with dimensional adhesive also.
What is super interesting is that at this point, this card looks great, right? But our designers are on our team for a reason and that is because they see things in ways other might not and she felt this card was a little out of balance.
So she added a strip of black and white patterned paper on the left and brought that pop of contrast. We love that our design team brings us all these added viewpoints on creating such great projects to share!
