Who says funny handmade cards for friends can’t also be gorgeous? Check out this sassy yet sophisticated card design idea!

We’ve got lots of sentiments that can help you make funny handmade cards for friends and today Allie is sharing how she combined one of those with some truly beautiful flowers and a snazzy dimensional background for the perfect combination of sweet and sassy. Let’s check out how she did it.

First, Allie stenciled shades of fresh green from Color Fuse Ink Set #11 using our Star Burst Stencil onto a card layer sized piece of white card stock.

She then cut another piece of white card stock with our Lattice With Scallop Cover die and adhered her stenciled panel behind it with some liquid glue.

Then using our New Friends Floral stamp set and our New Friends Floral Stencil set Allie stamped and colored two bunches using blues from Color Fuse Sets #8 and #9 for the flowers and Color Fuse Set #10 for her stems and leaves. She then cut them out with our New Friends Floral die.

She stamped her sentiment in black ink onto a scrap of white card stock and trimmed it down to a close rectangle.

Now she adhered one of her flower clusters to the lattice panel with her tape runner and then added the other with some dimensional adhesive. She added the sentiment over that with more foam tape and then finished off this beautiful card with a few Nuvo drops.
