This moonlit hand stamped winter pine tree card is totally captivating!
When we saw this beautiful hand stamped winter pine tree card that Kittie shared on her blog, we asked her if we could share it here, too. Isn’t this just so spectacular? As Kittie says, you can practically smell the snow! She shares all her usual brilliant PRO TIPS in the original post on her blog which you can see here and we wanted to share some of her special pointers here.
First, Kittie shares that she created her snow line and her moon by masking and then inking over the background with some distress ink. Then she used the same blue ink to stamp two different sized trees across the snowy landscape. Using the same blue creates that beautiful, serene vibe and gives lots of dimension with tone on tone shadowing.
Then Kittie used a mini applicator and more of the same blue ink to smudge those moonlit shadows from the trees in the “snow”. Literally, SO COOL!
The last step for this background panel was to stamp our Splatter Background over the whole image – remasking the moon – with white pigment ink and heat embossing with white powder.
To finish off her frosty winter scene, Kittie cut a piece of white card stock with our Nested Scallop With Holes die and used the outside piece to perfectly frame her landscape using some dimensional adhesive to allow it to add even more of a shadowy effect.
Here are the goodies Kittie used today including that brand new set that is part of yesterday’s mini release – be sure to check out all the fun new things!
