Make a Handmade Card With Peonies in No Time!

Spring is coming – we promise! – and this handmade card with peonies that are lush and gorgeous is easier to make than you think thanks to our new Poetic Peonies and die set. We put a lot of additional details into this set and its three other new ones you can see here so all YOU have to do is add color. And just look at them! You cannot go wrong with these beautiful images whether you are a detail coloring person or like the look of a more watercolor finish, as Julie created here.

To make this card July stamped her flowers and leaves onto watercolor paper and chose Brushos and water to paint out her peonies. Julie says “I like how vibrant the Brushos colors are and I use them like regular watercolors. I just mix the powder in a palette with water and paint!”  She created those purple strips by using one our Large Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut a single shape and then just cut strips from that shape using the die repeatedly. She cut the flowers with our coordinating die, fussy cut the leaves and then arranged everything together. A simple die cut greeting with a single stamp and this card is ready to go!
