This might just be the cutest idea for handmade teddy bear cards for winter occasions!
Cute and cuddly, despite the snow, these handmade teddy bear cards for winter are just so adorable and we really don’t think they are just for kids! Who wouldn’t love to imagine getting a little snuggle from this fuzzy little friend? And when it comes with a hug from you – well, that’s a bonus!
Let’s see how Julie made this so we can send some cozy love, too!
Julie created a fun “tile” look for her background by cutting a piece of white card stock with the largest die in our Nested Rectangle Stitch die set. She then used her scoring tool to score lines 1 and 5/16″ apart, making sure to create nice, deep grooves to set off her tiles.
She then used the snowflakes from our Snowman With Presents set to stamp some Odyssey Color Fuse Ink from Set #7 over the tiles. Then with a blending tool, she buffed a little Sky Color Fuse Ink from the same set over the edges of the tiles to add that beautiful dimension that just pops.
Next, Julie used a die from our Nested Deckle Rectangle set with a slightly smaller die from our Nested Rectangle Stitch set inside to cut a blue frame to coordinate with the Odyssey ink. Save those extra pieces! The then took the next smallest die in our Nested Rectangle Stitch set from the one she used to make the frame to cut another piece of white card stock. She stamped her greeting on the bottom of this with black ink.
Julie adhered her tile background to a white card base and added the frame, centering it on the card. She then added her stamped white die cut panel to the center of the frame with some dimensional adhesive.
For her adorable teddy bear, Julie stamped our Winter Bear with Bird stamp onto white card stock, cut him out with our coordinating die and then colored him in with some Copic markers. Here’s a shot of the markers to help you pick your shades.
Julie added a little touch of glitter pen to his hat and then popped him onto the center panel with more dimensional adhesive. She cut a few snowflakes from white card stock scraps with our Small Snowflake Die and voila – a hug in a card!
