Check out a gorgeous handmade western card with incredible details!

Recently on her blog, Kittie shared this stunning handmade western card that we thought looked so much like a postcard we just had to share it. We recently added some new western themed elements to our shop and Kittie took them and RAN with them! Just LOOK at those details!

Kittie used our Saddle and Wagon Wheel die set paired with the Deckle HillsDeckle Frame and Picket Fence along with some textured card stock to male this card and we think it’s just so gorgeous. Kittie said “The new dies have every single last detail needed to just cut, assemble and look like a paper crafting wizard!”

Part of what makes this card really stand out – besides the awesome iconic western elements – is that Kittie made very clever use of wood grain card stock to create her frame and fence and then added more texture on her saddle. Layering in texture like this gives the eye so many details to process that all the other details then take on even more impact.

And of course, Kittie’s usual finite attention to detail – like using itty bitty scraps for the tiny metallic and “suede” details on her saddle just make everything POP. You almost start to wonder if you are looking at a photo!

In the meantime, here are the items from the store she used to put together this classic scene on her masterpiece (we still can’t believe it’s a card!):

Kittie also said “The western part of our country has such beautiful scenery and imagery and I am really happy that Rubbernecker has added these beautifully detailed die sets to their collection”. We are so glad that Kittie took up the challenge of creating this double take worthy handmade western card to share with us and that she is so generous to share her making tips so we can all get in on the action!
