These heat embossed thank you cards are quick and easy and always gorgeous!
We are just loving the simplicity and the glamour of these heat embossed thank you cards! This one is perfectly suited to Thanksgiving but this basic concept can easily be applied to all kinds of images and occasions.
Julie used some clever masking to build this scene and make that pumpkin look like it was spilling out of the cornucopia. She started with her central image, the pumpkin, stamping with Versamark and heat embossing with gold. Then she made a mask for the pumpkin, placed it over her heat embossed image and stamped the cornucopia, heat embossing that with the same gold powder. She made a mask for the cornucopia, too, and using both masks, added more of the smaller detail images in the same manner.
Julie worked more of her stamping wizardry with her greeting, too! She stamped Thankful from our Kittie Says Phrases #1 first in Versamark. Then she placed a piece of tape over the “st” from the word Best from the same set, inked it up, removed the tape and then stamped just the “be” over Thankful. More gold embossing powder and her customer heat embossed sentiment was done!

We love how Julie made these heat embossed thank you cards to have so much detail and drama on just a single layer of rich colored card stock. All she had to do was add a little pattern behind it and it’s just perfect! Try out her masking technique using just heat embossing and let us know what you think!
