Today we are excited to share a super cute fall shadow box card from our Exclusive Associate Designer, Kittie Caracciolo. As usual, Kittie has created an adorable fall scene made using some of our die cuts tucked into a card-sized shadow box. The feedback from our customers on this die has been overwhelming – we are SO glad you love being able to make these shadow box cards so easily using the die!

This image shows a little of what you all have said is one of the best things about this die – the crisp corners! We designed this die to have lots of little details, like tabbed corners and a slightly rounded “window”, to ensure a perfect cut AND perfect assemble. Just look at how this shadow box sits on the card base….

We love how Kittie used lots of corn stalks to fill up the window – she shared that she loves that there are multiples on our die because she can quickly cut a whole bunch and arrange them quickly to add that sense of depth to her project. And then she added multiple layers of grass with pumpkins just tucked in to put some additional depth on the front of the card without adding too much more thickness. She really is the master of illusion when it comes to these kinds of scenes!

In this image, you can really get a sense of the depth of this fall shadow card. See the shadow at the top inside? Kittie made sure to allow her ink to be a little darker at the top to emphasize this effect. Then adding the birds and the scarecrow himself with dimensional adhesive, well, you can just picture yourself exploring this corn field, can’t you?

You can see more about this amazing project with details from Kittie here. Check it out because she shares her tips for getting that shadow box just perfect!

Here are the supplies she used to make this amazing card:
