Adorable Polar Bear Greeting Cards!

What better way to send warm winter wishes than with cute polar bear greeting cards? This cute fellow atop his huge snowball is just the thing to bring a smile to someone’s face during the long winter months. We anticipated that this winter might need some additional sending of cheerful cards so we created a whole bunch of sets that could be used for the holidays AND beyond! This card is exactly the kind of project we had in mind!

Here’s how to make this adorable card. Start by blending Color Fuse Inks on white card stock, starting in one corner with your darkest shade and blending to lightest as you move into your panel. Then use your small stamp and add some snowflakes in one of your pale shades randomly over the background to add some depth. When you are satisfied, die cut the whole thin using the second largest stitched rectangle die.

To make that enormous snowball, cut a whole set of nested circles from white card stock and glue to blended ink panel. PRO TIP: place the circles on your cardstock and use post-it notes or old washi tape to position them so you only have to cut once!

Stamp and color that cute polar bear, cut him out with the coordinating dies and add him on top of his snowball using dimensional adhesive. Stamp your greeting right onto your inked panel. Die cut a scalloped panel from white card stock and add the inked panel on top and then add the two to your card front. Finish it off with some white Nuvo drops for some textural interest and you are done!

These are great cards to make in a batch because you can do each of the stages – inking the background, cutting the snowball, making the polar bear, etc – all in whatever chunks of time you have. When you are done you will have a nice little stack of cards to send anytime to those people you know could use a warm smile!

Remember, too, that these polar bear greeting cards can be converted into all kinds of OTHER winter greeting cards just by swapping out whichever one of the characters from that Wintery Friends set you like best!
